Since Hallcon and UE left bargaining on September 1st, the Employer has continued to change its proposal and put more money toward wages. Your UE bargaining committee continues to work around the clock attempting to get a proposal worthy of your acceptance. We are not there yet.
At the same time, the Union continues to speak with drivers across the country. If no one has called you, please call your steward, your contract support committee member, your bargaining representative, or (312) 574-0733. Now is the time for you to get all of the information.
The Union is planning a series of Town Hall meetings for all Drivers to join:
- Friday September 9th: 11 am Pacific, 12 pm Mountain, 1 pm Central & 2 pm Eastern
- Saturday 10th: 1 pm Pacific, 2 pm Mountain, 3 pm Central & 4 pm Eastern
- Sunday 11th: 8 am Pacific, 9 am Mountain, 10 am Central & 11am Eastern
- Monday 12th: 5 pm Pacific, 6 pm Mountain, 7 pm Central & 8 pm Eastern
To join the presentation, please call (312) 210-9823. All UE Bargaining Committee members will be attending the town hall meetings to answer drivers’ questions.
The Union will open voting for all drivers on Friday, September 9th, 2022. Drivers will be asked to review the Company offer and vote whether to vote yes and accept the offer or no to reject the offer. The second question drivers will be asked will be if they authorize a 3 day strike starting on Friday September 16th at 12:01 am in all UE location through Sunday night at 11:59 pm with all drivers returning unconditionally to work after the strike.
The contract vote and strike vote results will be announced to the UE driver by Wednesday 14th.
Contract Support Committee members are encouraged to begin developing their strike plans in their area.
