Drivers, by a two-to-one margin, ratified the tentative agreement arrived at between Hallcon and UE on Sunday September 25, 2022.
Raises and retroactive pay will now be processed and paid within the next two pay periods. The Union will announce when the operational changes will be implemented from the new collective bargaining agreement.
There was a total of 439 drivers that participated in the vote, with 32 drivers phoning in their vote. The final tally cast 290 ‘yes’ votes to 149 ‘no’ votes.
The struggle to transform the industry continues with this new contract and there remain many gains to be made in the future. Drivers at Hallcon have won solid gains in wages and working conditions.
